Aleiyah Keys: From Family and Pets to the Healthcare Field

Aleiyah Keys is a 16-year-old junior at Blue Springs High School.

Aleiyah is surrounded by her large, loving family. She has six siblings that range from ages 8- 17.

Her family also includes a cat named Sophie and a dog named Champ, who was named after the Chiefs when they won the Super Bowl. One of Keys's favorite activities is taking Champ for walks and to the dog park.

Another activity she is excited to try is boxing because she is ready to start something new.

She describes herself as "patient and quiet." She likes to stay to herself unless she knows you and feels comfortable, and then she opens up and can sometimes become brutally honest.

When asked about her favorite class, she said it is either news writing or yoga.

Though she is a junior, she is already looking forward to graduating and has started planning for her future. Since she was young, she wanted to enter the healthcare field. She explains, "When my mom was pregnant with my baby sister, I went to all the appointments, and they let me scan my mom's belly. Since then, I knew what I wanted to be." From then on, she knew she wanted to be an ultrasound technician.

Aleiyah plans to work hard throughout the rest of her years in high school so she can succeed in the future.
