Jordyn Wiggins: An Aspiring Volleyball Player and News Writer, Student Editor

Jordyn Wiggins is a junior news writing staff member here at BSHS. She was born on October 18th, 2007.

According to Mrs. Crutcher, the Purple Post instructor, Jordyn always speaks her mind, “Honesty is the best policy.” She mentions how her family is very open and opinionated in her household.

She has two older siblings, a brother who also attended BSHS, and a sister.

She also has a hyperactive Yorky Pomeranian named Jimmy, with whom she loves to hang out.

Though she looks forward to the end of the school year so she can move on to becoming a senior, socializing with her friends, and catching up with them after summer has been her go-to so far.

Jordyn’s always got her headphones on in school when trying to focus. Her favorite genre of music is R&B, with her favorite artist being Lauryn Hill. Some favorite songs of Jordyn’s are “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” and “I Gotta Find Peace of Mind”. The songs stand out to her because a strong proud black woman creates them.

In her time away from school, she plays volleyball and works at Dairy Queen, making blizzards and operating the drive-through. Her favorite job that she's ever had was when she worked at Main Event, based on its fun environment and activities. She no longer works there because she needed more hours than they had offered.

She plays ROBLOX during her free time as well, “My favorite game on ROBLOX is dress to impress because I be dressin better than everybody else.”

During the late part of the year, she looks forward to some upcoming special dates. Halloween is her favorite holiday because dressing up is more fun than other traditions. She mostly remembers dressing up as a minion from Despicable Me and Chucky.

Traveling the world is Jordyn's humble ambition. A good memory from the past is when she traveled to a Caribbean island. Her favorite part of the trip was experiencing the nice views and tropical environment. One place that she would like to go one day is Egypt. She states, “I would go there because it’s exotic.”

Jordyn can’t wait to begin this school year on a good note and is ready to write stories as well as improve and update the Purple Post throughout the 2024-25 year.
