Lyric Floersch is a junior at Blue Springs High School. He is excited to try out for the baseball team soon.

Floersch's favorite memory of attending public schools in Blue Springs was his first day in 5th grade, a drastic change from previous years in private school. Floersch expresses, "It was hard making a substantial change, but getting to know people made it much easier."

Lyric grew up in Blue Springs, surrounded by loving parents and two younger siblings, Fields and Cruz.

Floersch loves his hometown and cannot see himself elsewhere. After graduating high school in two years, Floersch hopes to attend college close to home, like KU in Lawrence, Kansas. He is still deciding what he would like to major in.

When interviewing Lyric, one topic that continually comes up: Baseball.

Floersch enjoys playing baseball and watching the Royals’ games. He has attended eight games this season. He predicts that “The Royals will have a successful post-season…and make it to the World Series to play against the Dodgers. The Royals will win in six games at Kauffman.”

In 2016, Floersch’s parents invested in a couple of properties in Mexico and turned them into Airbnb rentals. Now, Lyric helps coordinate guests’ travel plans, transportation, and activities.  According to Floersch, “Some guests can be annoying and need more care,” But it is a perfect job for a high schooler.

In his free time, Floersch enjoys playing video games with friends; his favorite game is Elden Ring, because he says, “I'm good at it, and I've beat it at least 4 times”

Lyric Floersch is a loving son and brother who enjoys baseball and hanging out with friends. Floersch likes to laugh and bring out a fun personality in everyone.
