Serenity Martinez is a junior at BSHS with a vibrant personality and a deep love for art. She describes herself as funny, creative, and someone who genuinely enjoys meeting new people.
A recent fan of anime, Serenity discovered her interest just a year ago while browsing Netflix. That’s when she stumbled upon the popular series Death Note, which sparked her love for the genre. Her dream destination? Tokyo, Japan. “I feel like I would be able to be myself there,” she says, believing she’d feel completely at home in the heart of anime culture.
At home, Serenity is the middle child of four siblings—she has an older brother, a younger brother, and a twin sister. She also shares her space with three beloved pets: two cats named Jefferson and Bootsy, and a lizard named Mahomie. When asked to choose between cats and dogs, her answer was simple: “Cats, because I have one.”
In her free time, Serenity enjoys watching Build a Band, a show where musicians come together to form groups based on their musical chemistry. She also likes reading dark romance novels and sketching—especially portraits of people and eyes.
When asked what she would do if she had all the money in the world, Serenity gave an unexpectedly honest answer: “Nothing—just think about what to do with it.” It’s a response that reflects her thoughtful and relaxed approach to life.
Before the conversation ended, Serenity left one more piece of information she wanted people to know: “I’m a good singer.”
From her love of anime to her artistic side and musical talent, Serenity is full of creativity, quiet confidence, and individuality. She’s someone worth knowing.
