Super Bowl Sunday: The GOAT Bowl Edition
February 5, 2021
Living in the Kansas City Metro area, it would be impossible to not have heard the buzz about the Chiefs football season.
In the past three years, the Chiefs have brought home the AFC Championship trophy two out of the three times they’ve gone, and last year they brought home the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
This year, the Chiefs finished the regular season with a record of 14-2, losing only to the Chargers and the Raiders. They beat the Buffalo Bills two weeks ago, keeping the Lamar Hunt trophy home and earning themselves a plane ticket to Tampa Bay, Florida, where they will meet the Buccaneers at the Super Bowl.
Many football fans throughout the country have been raving about the matchup between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes, two of the best quarterbacks in the league and probably of all-time. These two go head-to-head for Brady’s 10th Super Bowl appearance and Mahomes’ 2nd, in what is sure to be a game to remember.
As Sunday approaches, speculation grows about which team will be raising the Lombardi Trophy at the end of the game. Most of the population in the KC Metro will cast their vote for their beloved Chiefs, while others, who may not have faith in the KC football team, believe that the Bucs will bring home the trophy.
With the Bowl being three days away, we can all only wait in anticipation for what might be the most talked-about Super Bowl in recent years and hope that the Kansas City Chiefs can “run it back” for the second year in a row.
